Karma is indeed a lucky boy. He is approximately 3 yrs old. He found his way into the yard of a Good Samaritan in Mendocino who called rescue to come and help him. He had been seen running loose for several weeks. There was evidence that he was tied at one time, however with all he had apparently been through he was in good condition. He is still very shy. He lets you pet him but still won't come and ask for love. He plays from time to time throughout the day with the other pyrs. He has learned to walk on a leash and has ventured out in public a time or two. He's discovering that the world can be an ok place.

He has been adopted by his foster family in Kelsey. Karma fulfils a very special function there; he helps newly fostered rescues adjust to a new life. Somehow, he lets them know that life will become as good for them as it has become for him - that their days of being unwanted and unloved are at an end, and their new "forever" home is just around the corner.
