Since the Gilroy Mall is under new management, we had to change our venue for our Fourth Annual Santa Paws and the Christmas in Jackson celebration proved to be a wonderful change. Volunteers Randy, Debi and Brandon Carpadus with his friend Monica Polano, Catherine de la Cruz, Steve Brown, John Agpoon and Wendy and Scott Thompson arrived with Pyrs Tim, Kyra, Emmy, Leo, Kerbie, Allie and Dali (and whippet, Pippen). The meeting room of the Jackson Volunteer Fire Department provided our setting. The photo shoot benefited both GPRNC and the A-PAL Humane Society of Amador County.

The Fourth Annual Santa Paws event was a success for all concerned. We have been invited back next year and may make it a two-day event if we can get enough volunteers. The gold-rush town of Jackson is a pleasant small town, set in the foot hills of the Sierras. Their annual Christmas in Jackson celebration features lighted, uncrowded stores, caroleers, and a tree lighting.
