Although predicted high temperatures reduced participation, those in attendance enjoyed the shade of Davis' Central Park. Picnic Chair Tina Regan and daughter Jen provided plenty to eat and drink and GPRNC Board members Catherine de la Cruz and Terry Garrett provided plenty of raffle items. GPCC Board members Cheri Hulihee and Debi Carpadus managed the Spay/Neuter match with lovely ribbons for the winners and prizes for all.

Ginger Hess announced that the Frosty Award had earlier been presented to Randy Carpadus (who was on fire duty that day) for his dedication to Rescue. In particular, he made a long drive only days after hernia surgery to pick up a rescue dog.
The outgoing members of the GPRNC Board - Debi Carpadus, Ginger Hess and Heidi Stinson - were presented with gift baskets of bath items as thanks for their service.
Debi was presented with a bronze Pyr bust as thanks for her years of service as Rescue Chair
