On the day after Thanksgiving, the Carpadus family and other GPRNC volunteers - Wally Felahy, Terry Garratt, Tina and Jen Regan, Jenny Heath, Lisa and Calvin Wallace - spent a cold afternoon and evening in the Gold Rush town of Jackson. There they carried on an annual tradition of offering folks the chance to have their photos taken with the Pyrs - we called them Santa Paws long before Disney thought of it. For a small donation, shared between Great Pyrenees Rescue of Northern California and Amador Humane Society, adults and children alike had their visit to the traditional Christmas celebration documented. The Pyrs "worked" the line of people waiting for buggy rides, snuggled up to shoppers and even stopped Santa for a pat.
